Mike Owen Media’s event management experience is based on a wide range of events in collaboration with BRMB and has evolved into a variety of forms from small scale presentations to large scale public events, such as:
Party In The Park
Our role with the huge public events created by BRMB and their ‘Party In The Park’ involving over 30,000 people at major venues with major chart acts resulted in a unique opportunity to develop skills to present events at the highest level.
G8 Summit
The management of 3,000 journalists attending the G8 world leaders event in Birmingham. This involved the securing of a large section of the Brindley Place area of Birmingham and providing complementary food and drink for journalists and international delegates attending the event. It was a massive logistical exercise described as a Birmingham City official as ‘ A consummate entertaining of the most discriminating group of people in the world –international journalists – brilliant!’
Radio Festival
During the Radio Festival’s sojourn in Birmingham, Mike Owen Media produced the UK’s major Radio event in 1997 and 2002 including the production of a major audio/visual presentation to celebrate 25 years of commercial radio in 1998.
Careers Awards
The management of the ‘Careers Professional of the Year’ event 2001 to 2004 at the NEC Birmingham.
